Capstone is a culminating project and experiential learning opportunity that allows students to conduct in-depth work in a specific area, such as research, administration, advocacy, or advanced clinical practice.
Initial Proposal
My initial capstone idea involved creating a six-week leisure group to address loneliness, social participation, and physical well-being for older adults in assisted living. Click on the image below for a copy of my initial Capstone Proposal
Capstone Site
Chesterwood Senior Living
Chesterwood Senior Living is a continued care community that offers independent and assisted living as well as memory care and skilled nursing services. This facility is a part of CareSpring, a group that runs 18 facilities in the Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky areas. The mission of this company is to care for residents with grace and appreciation by investing in teams, facilities, and programs, creating a place where people can connect and live their lives to the fullest.
